Eating is one of our daily tasks that we don't CONSCIOUSLY do often - well, most of us at least. To be conscious of an action, we have to be present and mindful. We are deliberately paying attention, or being fully aware of what is happening both inside ourselves physically, emotionally and mentally, and outside ourselves, in our environment. In the United States, mindfulness has become a popular concept, increasingly accepted and studied in the worlds of science, healthcare, and education. When mindfulness remains only a concept, however, it has little use in our lives. It is only useful when experienced; it becomes a powerful tool for us to awaken to the full potential of our life.
