How to Make Herbal Teas, Oils, & Vinegars Without Using Heat

I prefer to use long and slow "heating" processes; so the ancient art of solar and lunar infusion has become one of my favorite methods. Solar and lunar infusions are great for travelers, for those with small kitchens, for witchy, bruja, and for .. EVERYBODY. When you infuse something you are basically extracting the easily rendered vitamins, mucilage, and delicate volatile oils. Infusion is used when preparing the more fragile parts of the plant which are the leaves, fruits, seeds, flowers, and those roots with a high concentration of volatile oils. Both the sun and the moon, though very different in their energy fields, provides a powerful heat source useful for extracting the healing energy of herbs. Sunlight imparts an inner warmth and vitality to herbs, while moonlight seems to draw on the insightful powers of subtlety.
